Canadiens vs. Flyers second period thread

The Canadiens played a strong five minutes to start the first period, but would end up giving up the first goal on an Alex Galchenyuk giveaway at the Philadelphia blue-line to Sean Couturier who sent Brayden Schenn on as clearcut of a breakaway you can get, allowing Schenn to pick his spot and bury it to put the Flyers up 1-0.

Devante Smith-Pelly drew a hooking penalty to give his team a chance to draw even on the powerplay a minute-and-a-half later. The Habs' powerplay was only able to generate one shot on net on three shot attempts.
