Torrey Mitchell was sent off for tripping 1:13 into the second period, allowing the Blackhawks to establish an attack on the powerplay that they followed through for the first seven minutes of the period where they had six shot attempts to the Canadiens' three.
Ben Scrivens was solid making a number of key saves to allow the Canadiens to get some form of offensive-zone presence going. This is a really defensive game from the Habs who are focusing more on managing the Blackhawks' offensive weapons than pouring on the offensive pressure.
