After losing guys like Morgan Ellis, Mac Bennett, and Darren Dietz, the Canadiens needed to pick up some extra defencemen for the farm. The Saint John's IceCaps were looking at a pretty dire situation for their back end, but now the Canadiens have added Philip Samuelsson to the corps.

I don't know much about this newest acquisition, but I do know that the numbers he has put up in the AHL are quite good.
