Late Monday night, the Canadiens announced that they had re-signed winger Andrew Shaw. The new deal is 6 years in length and will pay Shaw and average of $3.9 million per season.
Shaw was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks at Friday’s NHL draft. The Canadiens gave up two 2nd round picks for the gritty winger.
Chris Johnston of Sportsnet also tweeted out this part of the contract.
There isn't any no-trade/no-movement protection in the eligible years of Andrew Shaw's #habs contract.
