Following a demotion to the AHL earlier this week, the Canadiens have announced that both Mark Barberio and Sven Andrighetto have been recalled from the St. John’s IceCaps.

During his one-game stay in the AHL, Andrighetto scored a goal and added an assist, whereas Mark Barberio earned two assists.
The players were sent down and recalled quickly for a few reasons, most notably that the Canadiens had a very light schedule this week, which means the team not only saved money on the salary cap, but seeing as both players are on a waiver clock, they avoided using up precious waiver exemption days.
