Riddled with injuries, and fresh off the heels of a trade, the Canadiens have enlisted some help from the farm ahead of a busy week.
With five games over the next eight days starting tomorrow, and plenty of injuries to deal with, the Canadiens understandably needed to dip into the farm for reinforcements. They just did so, by recalling Morgan Ellis and Michael McCarron from the St. John's IceCaps.

With Tom Gilbert and Jeff Petry out for the rest of the season, and Nathan Beaulieu out for at least the next few weeks, it makes perfect sense that they called up a defenseman.
