After a fairly long period of silence, the Montreal Canadiens have re-signed both Gabriel Dumont and Morgan Ellis to one year contracts.
Dumont, the most beloved Hamilton Bulldog over the last several years, was rumoured to have been told he was no longer part of the Canadiens' plans, which just shows you how seriously you should take rumours. Dumont, a fifth round pick of the Canadiens in 2009, will turn 25 in October, and likely be back with the Bulldogs as captain.
Morgan Ellis spent much of last season in the ECHL, in spite of an impressive training camp, and being a top three defenseman on the Bulldogs the season before.
