It is actually kind of a miracle that Tim Bozon is able to be plying his trade at the AHL level. In March 2014, he was hospitalized with a life-threatening case of meningitis. The illness caused Bozon to miss the rest of the 2014 WHL season while he was put into a medically-induced coma to battle the illness.
The entire ordeal caused Bozon to lose upwards of 50 pounds and he had to relearn some basic skills such as walking.
