Canadiens Acquire Andrew Shaw From Blackhawks

Almost immediately after trading Lars Eller to the Washington Capitals, the Canadiens announced they weren’t quite done dealing.

The team announced that they had acquired right winger Andrew Shaw from the Chicago Blackhawks. In return, the Canadiens sent the 39th and 45th picks in the 2016 NHL draft to the Blackhawks.

The #habs get Andrew Shaw from Chicago for two second-rounders. He's a pending RFA that #blackhawks couldn't fit under the salary cap.

Shaw is coming off a 34 point season(14 G, 20 A) with the Blackhawks.
