The Montreal Canadiens announced that they have signed 24-year-old centre Gabriel Dumont and 23-year-old defenseman Morgan Ellis to one-year contracts. Each player’s contract is two-way, and $575,000 for the 2015-16 season.
Gabriel Dumont played three games with the Habs in the 2014-15 season. He has been with the Hamilton Bulldogs since 2010-11. This season, he recorded 20 goals and 25 assists for a total of 45 points in 66 games with the Bulldogs. He was named Captain of the team, and ranked second in goals on the team.
