After a somewhat Pyrrhic victory in game 1, the Montreal Canadiens took back to the ice in Winnipeg looking to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. The Jets would be without their captain — suspended for his part in the Pyrrhic nature of the Habs’ game 1 win — hoping to achieve a split before the series heads to Montreal.
It was arguably the least exciting game of these playoffs, but the Habs pulled it off, and they hold a significant advantage as the series goes back to Quebec.
