The Montreal Canadiens welcomed a full Bell Centre for the first time in nearly two years. Coming in with an 0-2 start, the hope was that they could start a little winning streak with the help of a frenzied crowd long overdue for some Montreal hockey. An also 0-2 New York Rangers squad seemed to be a good opponent to have that happen against.
Welcome to your Bottom Six Minutes in which I’ll discuss the Canadiens going 0-3 anyways.
Goaltending was arguably the story of this game. Igor Shesterkin and Jake Allen were both very good, but the former was just a little better.
