Andrew Shaw suffers a concussion following the Torey Krug hit

About an hour before the game between the Montreal Canadiens and San Jose Sharks, the Habs announced that Andrew Shaw would not be participating because of concussion symptoms that emerged the previous day.

Medical update : Andrew Shaw will not dress tonight due to concussion-like symptoms which developed late Thursday afternoon.

He will also not be traveling with the team when they visit the Washington Capitals tomorrow night.

Shaw took an open-ice hit from Torey Krug in Monday’s game versus the Boston Bruins and left to undergo the concussion protocol.
