Allan McShane often gets forgotten in the long list of Montreal Canadiens prospects. It’s not even about guys like Ryan Poehling and Nick Suzuki, either. Ten prospects were taken higher by the Canadiens than McShane’s 97th overall over the last two drafts.
He isn’t a player that should be forgotten, either. The Oshawa General scored 34 goals last season, and if you ask him he’ll say he could have had more.
“Hockey’s funny that way,” McShane said. “Sometimes things are going your way, sometimes they’re not . We had a new coach and I think it was a bit of a learning curve trying to understand what he’s expecting of me.
