About last night … (morning-after edition)

Although we can’t read the mind of Michel Therrien – and really, who would want to? – the presumption is P.K. Subban was being punished.

Why?

Because with the score tied 2-2 and a few ticks over two minutes left, Subban’s turnover in the Colorado zone launched a sequence culminating in Jarome Iginla’s game-winning goal.

Bad play by P.K.

Worse decision by his coach.

Michel Therrien rarely calls out his players as individuals. The coach made an exception during his postgame remarks Wednesday night.

“A mistake on a selfish play cost us the game tonight,” Therrien said, in French, at the beginning of the coach’s scrum carried by L’Antichambre.
