As is often the case, several teams have already begun dealing ahead of the 2021 NHL Trade Deadline, not waiting for other clubs to grab the player they want. This year there is also a quarantine period for many clubs to consider, which added to the urgency to get a deal done.
Sunday was filled with action, with the Toronto Maple Leafs making a couple of big splashes with additions of Nick Foligno and David Rittich. The Boston Bruins stole the headlines late in the day, however, securing Taylor Hall from the Buffalo Sabres.
The Montreal Canadiens were a bit busy as well, though without the same degree of roster impact.
