After a long wait, the Montreal Canadiens were back at the podium at 63rd overall, and with their second pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, the team selected Riley Kidney from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the QMJHL.
Kidney played 33 games for the Titan, where he piled up 13 goals, and 25 assists, before leading the Q in playoff scoring too. Kidney will be back in the QMJHL next year with the Titan as well.
The Canadiens are right back on the clock with the 64th overall pick.
