With their third trip to the podium in round two of the draft, the Montreal Canadiens have opted for a centre, in the form of Jack Smith. He suited up for St. Cloud Cathedral in the Minnesota High School system last season. He is also committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth and his rights are also owned by Sioux Falls in the USHL.
