As we get towards the very end of this year’s draft, the Montreal Canadiens held on to their 170th overall selection, and selected Right Winger Alexander Gordin.
Gordin is a product of the SKA St. Petersburg program in Russia. He had a whopping 68 points last season in the MHL, and has played a game this year at the top level of Russian hockey, the KHL.
It’s an interesting choice as he can obviously score, and it will be interesting to see if he can make an impact in the KHL before coming to North America.
