With the draft day winding down, the Montreal Canadiens traded their seventh-round pick in the 2019 Draft to the Philadelphia Flyers for the Metropolitan club’s 190th overall selection this year. With that pick in hand, the Canadiens drafted forward Brett Stapley.
Playing last year in the BCHL, Stapley scored 27 goals and registered 32 assists in 52 games for the Vernon Vipers. Stapley will join the NCAA powerhouse University of Denver Pioneers next year.
