After the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft, 31 players were selected but there are still a lot of interesting prospects available when day two will get underway shortly after 11:00 a.m. Eastern when the Buffalo Sabres make the 32nd selection.
Seven players remaining had a first-round grade in our consensus rankings, up from four a year ago. The top player on the board is defenceman Bode Wilde (20th). Wilde represents the United States and plays in the USHL, but was born and grew up in Montreal. Serron Noel (21), Akil Thomas (22), Jonatan Berggren (24), Ryan McLeod (27), Jacob Olofsson (30) and Jared McIsaac (31) were in the top 31 but still available right now.
