The Brazilian featherweight announced Saturday that Zubaira Tukhugov has sustained an injury and won’t be able to step inside the Octagon at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on June 6.
"Sadly my opponent of the fight on June 6 got hurt and won't be able to participate," Tavares posted on his Instagram. "The UFC (said) I will be informed of my new opponent soon. I hope Zubaira Tukhugov gets better and wish for his good health."
Tavares (19-5-1), who pulled out of three UFC fights over the past 14 months with multiple injuries, enters UFN 68 coming off back-to-back first-round submissions over Robbie Peralta and Justin Salas.
