Two of the UFC featherweight division’s rising contenders will meet this fall.
MMA Fighting confirmed with sources that Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar will meet in the featherweight co-main event of UFC on ESPN 6 on Oct. 18 at TD Garden in Boston, following a report by ESPN.
Magomedsharipov (17-1) has been on a tear since joining the UFC in September 2017, winning all five of his bouts in the Octagon including three by submission. Most recently, he won a unanimous decision over veteran Jeremy Stephens at UFC 235 in March.
