The UFC 226 card taking place on July 7th has taken it’s first major blow, as Yancy Medeiros is out of his welterweight fight with Mike Perry.
MMAjunkie revealed today that Medeiros pulled out of the fight, whilst ESPN’s Ariel Helwani revealed it was due to a broken rib. The Hawaiian's fight with Perry was supposed to take place on the FS1 prelims of UFC 226. It is understood that the UFC will now seek a replacement for Medeiros.
According to Helwani, UFC lightweight Paul Felder is open to taking the fight with Perry.
