ONE Championship will celebrate women with an all-female event on May 28, the company announced Friday. ESPN first reported the news.
The five-fight show will be headlined by strawweight queen Xiong Jing Nan, who looks to defend her belt for the fifth time as she meets Brazilian jiu-jitsu icon Michelle Nicolini in Singapore.
Nan (15-2) has finished four opponents under the ONE belt since her debut in 2017, including a fifth-round stoppage against Angela Lee. In her latest bout, “The Panda” defeated Tiffany Teo via decision.
Nicolini (6-2) won four of five under the company’s banner, but hasn’t competed since a decision victory over Angela Lee in July 2019.
