After his second consecutive withdrawal in WSOF, Brian Cobb (20-8) has been released by the promotion, according to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani.
The 35-year-old fighter was scheduled to compete against Mike Ricci in the opening round of WSOF's eight-man lightweight tournament. Cobb withdrew from the competition due to undisclosed reasons.
Prior to his WSOF 25 withdrawal, Cobb was schedule to fight Jonathan Nunez in the co-main event of WSOF 17 back in January, but the day before the event Cobb injured his knee on the treadmill causing him to withdraw from the fight.
