For the 2nd time in as many events, a World Series of Fighting title defense ended with a leg kick stoppage. Bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes did it to Joe Barajas last month, and lightweight champ Justin Gaethje won the same way against Brian Foster in last night's main event.
As you can see in the video at the top of the page (or here if you're geoblocked), Gaethje just destroyed Foster's lead leg from the get-go and had him buckled with the penultimate kick of the fight. The last outside leg kick made Foster collapse and grimace in pain, forcing the referee to stop the contest inside of 2 minutes, befuddling Cecil Peoples and his "leg kicks don't win fights" beliefs.
