World Series of Fighting announced on Thursday afternoon the signing of heavyweight Lorenzo Hood.
The Chicago native joins Shawn Jordan as the latest additions to the Las Vegas-based MMA promotion’s roster. Hood was supposed to make his major promotional debut in August at Bellator 141 against Raphael Butler. But “The Dream Killer” tweaked his knee badly during pre-fight warm-ups and the fight had to be scrapped at the last minute.
Hood had signed on with Bellator riding a three-fight winning streak, all by knockout. All nine of Hood’s professional triumphs have come via first-round KO or TKO.
