Today, the World Boxing Super Series Super Middleweight tournament marches on. Callum Smith is on to the semi-finals. This afternoon’s match-up names our second semifinalist when Chris Eubank, Jr. faces Avni Yildirim (the winner will not face Smith, but will be on the opposite side of the bracket).
Eubank has the championship pedigree, and is the favorite here - some even view him as one of the top tournament favorites overall. Yildirim has less exposure on the international level, but he’s undefeated and represents a solid challenge for Eubank.
