Women’s Boxing Champ Kenia Enriquez Signs Multi-Fight MMA Deal with Combate Americas

Mixed martial arts promotion Combate Americas revealed Thursday that it has inked an exclusive, multi-fight deal with two-time world boxing champion Kenia Enriquez.

The 25-year-old holds a boxing record of 21-9 with 9 knockouts. A native of Tijuana, Mexico, Enriquez last saw action in a unanimous decision conquest of Norleidys Graterol on Oct. 6. She has not yet competed under the MMA ruleset.

“Enriquez has been blazing a trail for women in the sport of boxing, and is now set on doing the same thing in the sport of MMA under Combate Americas, so we are excited to see her cross over and become a two-sport athlete,” declared Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren.
