Neil Magny has filled in for his injured teammate, Matt Brown, and now faces Kelvin Gastelum on short notice in the main event of UFC Fight Night (also known as The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 Finale) later this month in Monterrey, Mexico.
UFC officials confirmed the news on Tuesday evening. The main event will remain five rounds.
Magny (16-4) was riding an impressive seven-fight winning streak which included stoppages over the likes of Hyun Gyu Lim, Kiichi Kunimoto and William Macario, but he suffered his first loss since 2013 this past August at UFC 190 when he was submitted by longtime UFC fighter Demain Maia in the 2nd round.
