Alex Pereira has made saving UFC cards quite a habit at this point. First, he found himself as the new main event at UFC 295 when Jon Jones was injured and scrapped the fight between he and Stipe Miocic. Then, he was called upon once again to headline UFC 300. About two months later, an even shorter-notice call came to step in and defend his belt on 2-weeks’ notice against Jiu0159í Procházka.
All Pereira did was show up and knock people out with very little trouble.
The options are endless for Pereira, but light heavyweight is in as fun a space as it has been since Jones and Daniel Cormier vacated the division four years ago.
