Bellator 141’s Melvin Guillard (32-14-2) was given a unique opportunity ahead of his headlining stint in Temecula, California’s Pechanga Resort and Casino tonight. Guillard, who will be making his Bellator debut, was allowed to pick his own opponent. According to “The Young Assassin,” who spoke with MMAJunkie Radio earlier this week about the subject, his team helped him pick Brandon Girtz (12-4), a strong grappler out of Minnesota who holds a record of 4-2 during his time with Bellator.
