A new flyweight talent is on his way to the UFC, and he's going to be debuting against one of the division's best rising fighters. Also set for his debut is welterweight newcomer Dominique Steele at UFC on Fox 16 in Chicago.
Not everyone gets an easy entry to the UFC. For every fighter that gets to debut against another raw prospect, or against that 0-2/1-3 vet on their way out, there's the guy that just gets pitched heaters from day one. It looks like UFC newcomer Geane Herrera finds himself in that latter category. It's not short notice, it's not an injury replacement, but Herrera is set to make his debut against one of the UFC's best prospects at 125 lbs, Ray Borg.
