One of the fall season’s most anticipated boxing bouts is now official.
In a scrap that will unify the WBA, WBC (interim) and IBF middleweight titles, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and David Lemieux took to the scales Friday afternoon in New York City.
Golovkin registered a lean and mean 159.4 pounds, while Lemieux hit 159.8.
Additionally, WBC flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez (111.4) and Brian Viloria (111.4) hit their marks to make official HBO Boxing Pay-Per-View’s co-feature.
