One of the more accomplished mixed martial arts (MMA) careers came to an end last night (Sat., Dec. 17, 2016) at UFC on FOX 22 live on FOX from inside Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., as former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) featherweight champion Urijah Faber made his final walk to the Octagon against veteran Brad Pickett. Luckily for all the “California Kid” fans in attendance, Faber didn’t disappoint in his swan song.
After a brief feeling out period, Faber blasted “One Punch” with a huge left hook that sent the Englishmen to the canvas. Faber seemed to lay off of his infamous ground-and-pound in effort to sink in a rear-naked choke, but Pickett hung in tough and made it to the bell.
