Wanderlei Silva case will go before the Nevada Athletic Commission again later this month

Wanderlei Silva's career will be back in the hands of the Nevada Athletic Commission later this month.

After a judge ordered a re-hearing in May, the MMA legend's case will go before the NAC again at its next meeting Oct. 29, an NAC spokesperson confirmed with MMA Fighting. MMA Junkie was the first to report the news.

Silva was handed a lifetime ban and $70,000 fine by the commission September 2014 after he evaded an out-of-competition drug test in May 2014. "The Axe Murderer" later admitted taking diuretics. Silva was supposed to fight Chael Sonnen at UFC 175 in July 2014 and the drug test was performed in relation to that contest.
