A light heavyweight showdown between Volkan Oezdemir and Ilir Latifi has a new date and location — again.
Originally booked for UFC Stockholm in June, but then scrapped due to Latifi’s back injury at the eleventh hour, Oezdemir-Latifi was then re-booked for UFC Newark on Aug. 3. Now, the 205-pounders will collide a week later at Montevideo’s UFC Uruguay, on Aug. 10.
The promotion announced the change on Tuesday. ESPN first reported the news.
Oezdemir (15-4) hasn’t won a fight in two years, when his incredible rise was stopped by then-champion Daniel Cormier.
