Jon Jones’ finish over UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was not enough to impress Volkan Oezdemir.
Jones returned to action last month, following a one-year suspension from USADA, to challenge champion Cormier in the main event of last month’s UFC 214 in Anaheim, Calif. Jones’ return was a successful one, as the former champ not only regained his 205-pound title back, but Jones became the first man to stop Cormier in an MMA contest.
Yet, despite putting away the ultra tough Cormier in the third round of his return fight, Oezdemir wasn’t fully impressed with what he saw from Jones that night in the Honda Center.
