Fresh off an impressive win in her Octagon debut, former Pancrase strawweight champion Viviane Araujo won’t return to her original weight class just yet.
Araujo, who stopped Talita Bernardo in a bantamweight bout at UFC 237 on May 11, is set to face Alexis Davis in a flyweight contest at UFC 240 in Edmonton, Canada, on July 27. Both fighters confirmed the booking on social media following a report by Combate.
Davis (19-9), who sits at No. 7 in UFC’s official 125-pound ranking, is coming off back-to-back decision defeats to Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia.
