Days before the middleweight title fight between Weidman and Belfort in May, a report by ESPN revealed that both fighters passed a pre-UFC 187 random drug test, but the Brazilian’s testosterone levels were higher than Weidman’s.
According to the report, Weidman had a 3.7 ng/ml testosterone level, while Belfort had a 12 ng/ml testosterone level two weeks before. At the official weigh-ins on May 22, Weidman snapped.
"I left him alone with this whole drug-test thing," Weidman said after making weight. "But then we just found out during camp he had a 1200 testosterone score.
