UFC veteran Vitor Belfort was supposed to take on his retirement fight at UFC St. Louis on Sunday night. The supposed co-headliner of the event, however, was scrapped when opponent Uriah Hall ended up in the hospital after a horrible weight cut.
UFC president Dana White later said he offered “The Phenom” replacement fights for the same card and UFC 220, only to be met by a no answer for both.
“We worked quickly and we got Vitor a fight,” White said on the FOX Sports 1 post-fight show.
