Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight kingpin Chris Weidman expected an onslaught early from No. 1-ranked contender Vitor Belfort during their title fight at UFC 187, and "The Phenom" did just that, throwing a bevy of punches early on that seemed to hurt the champ momentarily, but ultimately gassed Belfort.
Moments later, the Brazilian was on his back, and Weidman was landing vicious ground and pound en route to his (technical) knockout victory in the very first round (watch the highlights here).
After the loss, the former light heavyweight champ returned to Brazil and held a press conference at his gym in Rio de Janeiro, discussing what went wrong in his fight against "The All American.
