Gaethje’s sparring partner was wearing shin pads but the kick he landed would have KO’d most men in an instant.

Gaethje is just seven weeks out from the biggest fight of his career, so the former WSOF lightweight champion may want to take it a bit easier in sparring. The 31-year-old knockout artist is scheduled to fight reigning, undefeated lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254 on October 24, in what promises to be one of the most exciting matchups of the year.
