The world of mixed martial arts (MMA) lost one of its own last week, as former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator MMA veteran, Kimbo Slice, passed away at the age of 42 due to heart failure in his home state of Florida.
Slice -- real name Kevin Ferguson -- left a lasting imprint on the combat sports world during his short time in MMA, taking on some longtime veterans and knocking out a few in the process.
His real mark, though, was leaving behind countless cable ratings records on various networks which will prove to stand the test of time and will be a challenge for anyone who attempts to break them.
