Nearly 11 years ago, Frank Mir was on top of the world, having claimed his first Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title in dramatic fashion over the previously undefeated Tim Sylvia in June 2004.
The jiu-jitsu ace dismantled the heavyweight giant's arm in just 50 seconds at the UFC 48 pay-per-view (PPV) event, picking up the 265-pound strap in the process. Mir's title reign would be short-lived, however... we know how that story goes.
Since then, the 36-year-old veteran has endured a rollercoaster ride of a career, suffering a quartet of disappointing losses before dusting off his boots and toppling Antonio Silva and Todd Duffee in 2015.
