Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. caused a bit of a stir online on Tuesday when he posted a video of himself entering an MMA cage. A day after, he decided to make a follow-up video bearing an inconclusive yet very suggestive message.
“2018. Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. MMA. What are the odds, Paddy? What are the odds?”
The “Paddy” that Mayweather was referring to is Paddy Power, the Dublin-based bookmaking site that sponsored him for his August 2017 boxing match against Conor McGregor.
Mayweather has been dropping hints about venturing into MMA since December, saying he could do a three or four-fight deal in the UFC to make $1 billion if he wanted to.
