Floyd Mayweather is in London, England to promote Saturday’s IBF junior lightweight (130 lbs) championship clash between Gervonta Davis (17-0, 16 KOs) and Liam Walsh (21-0, 14 KOs). Davis is promoted by Mayweather and is seen as one of the most intriguing rising talents in the sport. His first defense will be in enemy territory against Walsh, in a matchup which will air live on Showtime in the United States.
At Thursday’s press conference to promote Davis vs. Walsh, Mayweather was effectively the real main attraction. With news of Conor McGregor agreeing to terms with the UFC on a boxing match between him and Floyd, one reporter asked him about McGregor’s signed contract.
