Video: Documentary trailer shows Cyborg’s weight cut struggles ahead of UFC 198

Making 140 certainly didn’t seem simple for the Invicta featherweight champion ahead of her UFC debut against Leslie Smith.

For years now, Cristiane Justino - known largely to fans as Cris Cyborg - has been one of the most feared fighters on the planet, remaining dominant as the reigning top women’s featherweight in MMA. But since the rise of Ronda Rousey and the popularity of the UFC women’s bantamweight division, the bigger question has been whether or not Cyborg can make the drop to 135, largely in hopes of a superfight with the aforementioned Rousey.

Since the purchase of Strikeforce, Cris Cyborg’s suspension due to PED use, and her decision to sign with Invicta FC despite being made an offer by the UFC, Cyborg has remained adamant that she cannot make the drop to 135lbs.
