But since the rise of Ronda Rousey and the popularity of the UFC women’s bantamweight division, the bigger question has been whether or not Cyborg can make the drop to 135, largely in hopes of a superfight with the aforementioned Rousey.
Since the purchase of Strikeforce, Cris Cyborg’s suspension due to PED use, and her decision to sign with Invicta FC despite being made an offer by the UFC, Cyborg has remained adamant that she cannot make the drop to 135lbs.
