Video: Conor McGregor named 13th jockey at Pegasus World Cup Invitational

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor claimed he was leaving the mixed martial arts (MMA) world to spend the next 10 months raising a young Irish suckling.

I had no idea he was talking about a horse.

“Notorious” became the 13th jockey to enter the Pegasus World Cup Invitational. Alongside celebrity trainer Jon Lovitz, “Notorious” will attempt to win the largest purse in the history horse racing.

From the official presser:

The inaugural Pegasus World Cup Invitational will be held at The Stronach Group's premier destination, Gulfstream Park in South Florida on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 and will surpass the Dubai World Cup as the world's richest Thoroughbred horse race.
